About
We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our busy warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is the frontline of our inbound and outbound flow, ensuring that all goods are accurately received, inspected, and dispatched. You will play a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and facilitating the seamless movement of products within our logistics chain. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety . You will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods, ensuring that every shipment meets our high standards. This position requires diligence and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and bills of lading.
- Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies and reporting any issues.
- Accurately documenting all incoming and outgoing shipments using the warehouse management system.
- Staging outgoing orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment.
- Loading trucks for outbound delivery, optimizing space and securing cargo safely.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving and shipping dock area.
- Participating in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
