You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse layouts, implementing effective storage strategies, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A key aspect of this role involves enforcing strict safety protocols and ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and procedures. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and providing training on the proper use of equipment and the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for motivating the warehouse team and collaborating with other departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence within the logistics industry. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory control and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate with transportation providers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes and procedures.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with WMS software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
