About
Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments and ensure accurate inventory recording. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for goods entering our warehouse, playing a vital role in our **logistics** operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damage and accuracy, and entering received items into our inventory management system. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential. You must be comfortable with physical tasks, including **lifting** and moving packages, and strictly adhere to all **safety** guidelines and **PPE** requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory system.
- Stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to management.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and use required **PPE**.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 40 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to **safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
- Good communication skills.
