Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania logistics hub. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, counting, and reconciliation processes. You will play a vital part in optimizing our supply chain, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
  • Identify and report damaged or expired goods.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure items are logged correctly.
  • Generate inventory reports and analyze data for trends and improvements.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory, including the use of appropriate PPE when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role is required.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
