About
Our growing logistics company is looking for a skilled Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee daily operations at our Huntsville, Alabama facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and team leadership. You will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse efficiency, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate activities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, Safety guidelines, and the proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics chain.
- Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Handle the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Maintain records of all warehouse activities and generate reports as required.
- Ensure all team members consistently use required PPE and follow safe Lifting practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse coordination or supervisory role.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in WMS software and other relevant technology.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all Safety protocols.
