About
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are precise and accounted for. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and recommending solutions to improve inventory accuracy. Your expertise will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by examining records, production, and shipping orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Coordinate with receiving, warehousing, and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related logistics role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
