We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring timely processing of goods into our warehouse. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong attention to detail, and is committed to upholding safety standards. Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic computer skills are essential. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and ensuring all employees have the necessary PPE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding delivery status and issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of lifting techniques and required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
