We are actively seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our distribution center located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This critical role supports our entire logistics network by ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. You will operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory, load and unload trucks, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong emphasis on safety, precision, and adherence to operational procedures is required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials onto and off of trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from different warehouse zones, including staging and storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure accurate placement of inventory and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Support shipping and receiving teams as necessary to meet operational demands.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and extensive operating experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Deep understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the critical importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts.
