Seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our state-of-the-art distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of reach trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is vital to maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to transport, position, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials accurately and safely.
- Stack and store products in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent scanning and location management.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as required.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks.
- While operating equipment, tasks may involve occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid reach truck operator certification or license.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring some lifting.
