We are actively recruiting for a Distribution Center Associate to join our state-of-the-art facility in Portland, Oregon. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Your contribution will ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for our valued customers. This is a dynamic position for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and prioritize Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving incoming shipments and verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stocking merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Picking and preparing orders for shipment using pick lists and scanning devices.
- Packing products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conducting cycle counts and assisting with inventory management.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Strict adherence to all company policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics operations.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following all safety protocols.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
