Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our key logistics hub in Richmond, Virginia. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management systems, conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels to support efficient logistics operations. Your attention to detail and proactive approach are vital to minimizing errors and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage reorder points, and forecast inventory needs.
  • Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure correct system recording.
  • Verify the accuracy of items picked for outgoing shipments.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on stock status, turns, and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the appropriate use of PPE during any required Lifting.
  • Maintain clean and organized inventory storage areas.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and logistics principles.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
