Job Summary:
Our growing logistics operation in Sacramento, California is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, implementing process improvements, and maintaining optimal stock levels. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a key part in reducing shrinkage, improving order fulfillment rates, and optimizing warehouse space utilization. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations are essential. We prioritize a safe work environment and provide all necessary PPE. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce loss.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and organization.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper material handling and the use of PPE.
  • Assist in the training of new team members on inventory control procedures.
  • Support logistics and distribution activities through accurate stock management.
  • Proper lifting and handling of inventory items.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and required PPE.
  • Experience with logistics processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
