Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management within our Madison, Wisconsin facility. This role is critical for optimizing our logistics operations and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies. Your efforts will directly impact efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and forecast needs to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate inventory recording.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to align inventory with demand.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure all logistics activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and variances for management.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles and best practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
