Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and warehouse organization. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the integrity of our inventory data. This position requires a highly analytical and organized individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles. A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills are essential. Adherence to safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices, is paramount. You will work closely with warehouse management and operations staff to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize losses. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and organization within the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report damaged or expired goods.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safety procedures, including PPE and lifting guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
