We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our Maintenance team

Reporting to the Senior Engineer and Maintenance Manager, the Electrician performs installation, maintenance, and repairs to update and resolve electrical issues. They will use strong Process Logistics Control programming knowledge to collaboratively resolve system control issues and minimize and eliminate downtime in accordance with safety codes and regulations.

Starting Wage: $38.23 per hour

Afternoon Shift Hours: 3pm to 11pm

Night Shift Hours: 11:00pm to 7:00am

What you'll do:

  • Maintain, repair and resolve electrical issues within the facilities.
  • Install and provide advice with respect to new electrical ensuring that Canadian electrical safety code requirements are met.
  • Maintain inventory of electrical supplies.
  • Contact vendors to establish and contract best prices and delivery for all electrical materials.
  • Work with outside contractors to ensure work/projects are completed on time with minimal costs incurred.
  • Provide programming, operation and maintenance support for PLCs throughout the plant.
  • Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, maintenance, packaging technicians and other internal staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll have:

  • Industrial Electrician Trade Certification (442A) or Electrician Construction and Maintenance Trade Certification (309A).
  • 1 to 2 years' working experience in industrial maintenance and electrician experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience in interpreting and designing electrical schematics.
  • Strong PLC Programming skills.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
