SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a HR Business Partner – Recruiting Specialist .

About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, Camp & Administration, the HR Business Partner – Recruiting Specialist, will be responsible for providing recruiting and talent acquisition services, expertise and guidance for the Seabee Gold Operation. This role is challenging, dynamic and fast paced.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating commitment and understanding of business needs and priorities to become a trusted business partner.
  • Driving change with a focus on continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
  • Coordinating full-cycle recruitment: developing recruitment strategies, drafting descriptions and posting on Workday, selecting and pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews, developing and presenting job offers.
  • Developing policy/procedures as related to recruiting and talent acquisition, including communication roll out and updates.
  • Coordinating and liaising with key stakeholders in recruiting activities such as the HR Supervisors, Site Admin, Safety & Training and Finance department personnel.
  • Leading and participating in HR recruiting projects with exceptional attention to detail and innovative thinking.
  • Promoting and maintaining a results – driven, continuous improvement, performance culture throughout the operation and recommending solutions and improvements to current HR processes and programs.
  • Conducting and facilitating training sessions on HR related topics including but not limited to orientations, leadership development, etc.
  • Conduct assessments of new candidates to gauge their hire experience and make recommendations for change.
  • Guide and accompany candidates and new hires to site.
  • Continuous improvement of onboarding activities including the Supervisors' onboarding guide and checklist.
  • Attend recruiting fairs, talent acquisition events and collaborating with community organizations in all recruiting activities.
  • Attend presentations to outside institutions such as: SIIT, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, etc.
  • Research, develop and coordinate specialty hiring programs such as summer students, co-op students, Engineers in Training (EIT), Process Operations program etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the department.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

  • Capacity and versatility to operate in a dynamic organization which involves delivering business objectives across a diverse workforce.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills that demonstrate experience in applying business analysis principles and practices to a complex environment.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills.

  • Proven influencing, stakeholder engagement and change management capability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Saskatchewan Employment Standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.).
  • Experience with Workday and ADP Workforce Now considered an asset.

Your Education and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or a similar discipline (experience in lieu of a degree will be considered).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in human resources with a focus on recruitment and advanced knowledge of HR Business Partner activities.
  • IPMA, CPHR, RPR or other HR certifications considered an asset.
  • Experience in the mining industry or in a similar role within the resources sector is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, SAP, KPI Fire and/or Isometrix is also considered an asset.

About Our Working Conditions:

This position will be based at the Seabee Gold Operation office in Saskatoon with frequent visits to the mine site. There will be some travel expected when attending recruiting fairs, collaborating with community organizations, or attending talent acquisition activities in Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday with an opportunity to apply for a Flexible Work schedule, subject to management approval.
