About
We are seeking an efficient and organized Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received accurately, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, documenting any discrepancies or damages, and staging received goods for put-away. This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees must strictly follow safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If you have a keen eye for detail, are highly organized, and possess a strong work ethic, this position is an excellent opportunity. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damage or defects.
- Document all receiving activities and discrepancies accurately.
- Enter received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and policies, including the use of PPE.
- Support efficient logistics operations through accurate receiving processes.
- Be prepared for tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using WMS and basic computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to use PPE.
