Position Overview Join our team at Torque by Ryder as a Permanent Full Time Mobile Diesel Technician. We are actively seeking an experienced technician to support our Truck Fleet. We offer competitive compensation: Weekly Pay Hourly Rate: $41.00 Opportunities for additional monthly performance incentives Flexible schedule for a 40-hour work week (weekend premiums available) Fuel Card and Company Cell Phone provided Assigned mobile service vehicle for technicians Ongoing training for career growth At Ryder, we take pride in offering exceptional benefits including: Generous Paid Time Off Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance effective 30 days from hire date Life Insurance and Disability Insurance Options 401K Savings Plan with Ryder matching contributions Discount on purchase of Ryder Common Stock Employee Discounts on Automotive services, Mobile plans, Travel, and Hotels Tuition Reimbursement for accredited Technical Schools PPE & Uniforms provided at no cost Paid Job training and development Referral bonuses for employees and customers Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Vocational/Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred Basic tools required Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including: Routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake and tire work Diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems Major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, or fuel injection repairs Three or more years of relevant work experience preferred Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred Experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment Strong relationship management and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Key Responsibilities: Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance and repairs, and provide repair estimates Conduct vehicle testing to determine repair needs and ensure quality of repairs Perform a variety of preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Maintain accurate service records and documentation Act as a mentor for junior technicians This position requires you to drive Ryder vehicles.
