About
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to join our dedicated logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment with precision and care. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. You will contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations for our distribution center. This role requires a reliable individual with excellent hand-eye coordination and a commitment to operational excellence. The Forklift Operator is a key player in ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods, supporting our overall logistics network. Responsibilities include: Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently. Loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers. Moving and stacking materials within the warehouse according to established procedures. Assisting with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock placement. Performing pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. Supporting other warehouse operations as needed, such as picking and packing. Contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics department.
Requirements:
- Certified forklift operator (certification must be current).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Understanding of safety regulations, including proper PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
