Job Summary:
Our San Diego, California distribution center is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient logistics operations by minimizing discrepancies, optimizing inventory levels, and implementing best practices. You will be responsible for conducting audits, analyzing data, and working collaboratively with various teams to uphold the highest standards of inventory management. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Your expertise will directly influence operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and refine inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and optimize stock levels.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management, purchasing, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the correct usage of PPE.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Generate detailed inventory reports for management review.
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must adhere to stringent safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Understanding of overall logistics and supply chain operations.
