About
We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is critical to the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. You will operate a powered industrial forklift to move materials around the warehouse, load and unload trucks, and transport goods to and from production or storage areas. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount; you must adhere to all company guidelines and operate equipment responsibly. This position requires a valid forklift certification and proven experience. The role also involves physical duties, including occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs and standing for periods. We provide all necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to transport materials, products, and inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Move materials to and from production areas, staging zones, and storage locations.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs or defects.
- Follow all Safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and operating procedures.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking tasks as needed, including manual Lifting when required.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles and access points are clear.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks to ensure accuracy.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and any other designated safety gear.
- Adhere to all company logistics and warehouse operational policies.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
