Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is vital to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring smooth logistics operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting physical counts, reconciling inventory records, investigating variances, and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to tasks, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. Your contributions will directly impact our efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential issues such as overstock or stockouts.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent loss or damage.
  • Generate and present inventory reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and standard office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capacity for lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Understanding of general logistics and supply chain best practices.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
  • Effective communication skills.
