Our logistics company in Huntsville, Alabama, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials efficiently and safely within our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will handle a variety of products, ensuring they are transported to the correct locations for storage or shipment. Responsibilities include inspecting the forklift daily, performing minor maintenance, and reporting any issues immediately. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records related to material movement. Successful candidates will possess excellent hand-eye coordination and a keen awareness of their surroundings. Adherence to all company safety policies and the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. This role involves regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Experience with different types of forklifts is highly advantageous. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain the smooth flow of goods.
