Responsibilities:
- Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and damages.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to minimize loss and improve efficiency.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) and ensure proper product handling and storage.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless inventory movement and accurate transaction recording.
- Ensure the inventory storage area is organized, safe, and compliant with all regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report on key inventory metrics and provide insights for operational enhancements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics/supply chain are a plus.
- Demonstrable experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse management role.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles and WMS software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
