Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama? Our busy distribution center is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and consolidating products and materials. Your ability to maneuver safely and efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential. You will ensure that inventory is handled correctly to prevent damage and loss, contributing directly to the success of our Logistics operations. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe workplace, and adherence to all Safety procedures is non-negotiable. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a commitment to following all company policies. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items and operating machinery. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system scanning.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse Logistics and operational flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic are essential.
