About
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our busy Atlanta, Georgia warehouse! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. Your work is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and organizing received items for storage or further processing. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, purchase order lines, and advance ship notices.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory management system.
- Label received items appropriately for storage.
- Stage goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper lifting and equipment use.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and using inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and efficient operations.
