About
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Jacksonville, Florida location. In this role, you will be integral to the outbound logistics process, ensuring all shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our shipping operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify outgoing shipments against order records for accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Enter shipping information into the company's logistics management system.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and ready for dispatch.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Assist with receiving and verifying incoming goods as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with general warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
