What You Will Do
Sales Director – West Region
Based Tipton
We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced senior sales leader at management and board level with a good understanding of the Vehicle Retail business & environment, with preference to the commercial vehicles arena.
Our package offers a strong basic salary of up to £80k with a further 30% KPI driven bonus scheme, up to 10% matched pension scheme, private healthcare, company car, and increasing holiday entitlement with service (starts at 25 days + BH).
As a key member of the organisation’s (RTC) management team, you will be responsible for setting and delivering the sales strategy, with the purpose of driving performance through the team within RTC, with the appropriate development of strategy to grow the market share, increase participation along with conversion rates, increase profitability whilst ensuring adherence to sales product campaigns. You will bring your effective leadership, coordination, support and direction to reflect the company’s market share targets.
Brief Overview The West Region sales team are based across our depots of Bristol, Cardiff, and 2 depots based in Tipton.
Setting the strategy to grow the market share in the area of responsibility through the sales team (both in MHD and LCV)
Set sales targets for individual sales employees
To work actively with the Aftersales and Commercial arms to develop RTC procedures and ensuring compliance.
Qualification of customers and quotes prior to presenting costs
Responsible for the management of the Sales P&L, relevant balance sheet position including working capital management (stock)
Manage and promote electromobility strategy and sales transition
Manage Vecto performance in accordance with targets
Promote and lead in maintaining and developing customer relations, as measured through the customer surveys
Coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports to fulfil the functions of their roles more effectively
Ensure the team’s effective adoption of CRM, and utilising it to manage customers relations and target opportunities
What You Will Bring

Experience of running sales operation in the Commercial Vehicle/ Capital Equipment industry
Experience of leading, managing, coaching and mentoring people.
Formal training in Sales, leadership, communication, and people skills would be valuable
