Kitchen Operations Manager
The Sous Chef is a pivotal role in the kitchen, playing a key part in ensuring seamless daily operations. This position requires expert supervision of staff, meticulous maintenance of food quality and presentation, and strict adherence to hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Executive Chef on daily menus, recipes, and inventory control
- Supervising and leading the kitchen brigade when needed, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensuring dishes are prepared according to established culinary standards
- Mentoring, training, and motivating kitchen staff to achieve high performance levels
- Monitoring kitchen inventory and ordering supplies as necessary
- Maintaining proper sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols
Requirements for this position include:
- Proven experience as a senior chef or similar role
- Advanced culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- In-depth knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures
- Strong leadership and management skills for a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence
