Job Summary:
As a key member of our culinary team, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, create memorable menus and inspire a team of dedicated cooks and dishwashers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other hospitality directors to review event calendars and schedule staff accordingly.
- Design and implement innovative menus, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Sources high-quality ingredients for menus and places orders with vendors, securing the best rates.
- Maintains optimal inventory levels and ensures all equipment is fully functional.
- Ensures food quality remains consistently high and hygiene standards are met and exceeded.
- Trains and motivates kitchen staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Organizes budgets and finances for the kitchen, ensuring effective resource management.
- Assists with food preparation, recipe creation, testing and tasting to ensure exceptional quality.
- Coordinates food operations for various campus functions and departments, including Camp and BCI.
- Participates in related projects as assigned and performs other duties as required.
- Maintains strict safety and sanitation standards, ensuring others adhere to them as well.
- Communicates effectively with departments and team members on a weekly basis.
