About this Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced culinary professional to lead our kitchen team. As a Culinary Operations Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage kitchen shifts, including food prep, cooking, inventory management, and supervising staff.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, participate in line checks, temp checks, and food tastings.
- Purchase and order food products and supplies for the restaurant.
- Track and control food costs, ensuring profitability.
- Communicate effectively between front-of-house and back-of-house teams regarding food production and timing issues.
- 2-3 years of experience as a sous chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and their application in a kitchen setting.
- Proficiency in computer software related to inventory and financial management.
