We are seeking a dedicated and professional Full-Time, Part-Time, or Temporary Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist with dental procedures, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic dental environment and collaborating with a skilled team to deliver comprehensive dental services. Experience in general dentistry, and proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is highly valued. The position emphasizes adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records while fostering a compassionate approach to patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, and other preventive hygiene procedures.
* Conduct patient assessments including vital signs and medical history review.
* Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
* Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
* Document patient interactions accurately within Dentrix.
* Review medical records for completeness and accuracy; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and patient management.
* Keep updated on current dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review standards.
*Qualifications*
* Valid hygienist license in accordance with state licensing requirements.
* Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix
* Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. This position offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate full-time, part-time, or temporary employment needs while providing opportunities for professional growth within our practice.
Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 per week
