Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure Projects
Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including roads, earthworks, utilities, sewer/watermain, and municipal infrastructure.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Oversee contract administration, including change management, RFIs, submittals, and progress documentation.

  • Coordinate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project alignment.

  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Monitor project progress, risks, and opportunities, implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.

  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements, municipal standards, and environmental guidelines.

  • Support project closeout activities, including deficiency management, as-built documentation, and turnover packages.

  • Foster a collaborative, safety-first culture across all project phases.


Qualifications
  • 7–12+ years of project management experience in civil infrastructure construction.

  • Proven track record delivering projects involving roads, earthworks, utilities, and municipal infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods, sequencing, and cost controls.

  • Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar).

  • Excellent contract administration skills, including exposure to municipal and provincial tendering processes.

  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.

  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CET, or related field considered an asset.

  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS) are an advantage.
