Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining and take out experiences, coming to Chestermere in Late Jan or Early Feb 2026.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive Mediterranean restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for innovative food preparation. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and maintain high-quality food service that aligns with our restaurant's standards of excellence.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and team cohesion
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold quality standards and consistency
  • Develop and update menu offerings in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability
  • Train staff on food handling, safety protocols, and service standards to promote a professional hospitality environment
  • Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality, fostering a positive dining atmosphere
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Extensive background in Mediterranean food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous restaurant experience demonstrating expertise in menu development and kitchen operations
  • Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food quality and presentation
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
