About
*What we do:* ARS provides radiology services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. including MyMichigan Health. This nonprofit health system is headquartered in Midland with 8 medical centers providing care to a 25 county region. MyMichigan provides a full continuum of care across a wide array of settings, including urgent care centers, home health, virtual care, and medical offices in more than 30 specialties and subspecialties including cardiology, family medicine, hematology/oncology, neurosciences, orthopedics, pediatrics, vascular surgery, and more.
*What we are looking for:* We are seeking a part-time *Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner* to work in Alpena which is a 139 bed medical center (level III trauma) on the shores of beautiful Lake Huron. This will be a *.5 status *position working in collaboration with an interventional radiologist and diagnostic radiologist as well as independently.
*Responsibilities:*
* Perform various IR and fluoroscopic procedures including but not limited to paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrocentesis, intraarticular pain injections; and GI/GU fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine injections, and arthrograms respectively, with image interpretation and documentation.
* Additional duties in IR may include providing sedation for IR cases in collaboration with the interventional radiologist once training requirements are met.
* Perform additional related duties as required.
*Requirements:*
* Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA); OR graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
* Master’s in Physician Assistant studies or related field for PAs; OR Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice for NPs.
* Board certified by The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); OR board certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
* BLS and ACLS certification is required by start of employment.
* Michigan PA/NP licensure/certification
* Prior experience in interventional and diagnostic radiology as an APP is strongly preferred.
* Prior experience in another procedural or surgical specialty as an APP is preferred.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
