Automotive Service Technician

Mike Fair Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd. is a family-owned automotive dealership with over 35 years serving the Smiths Falls, Perth, and surrounding areas. We have openings at our and expanding our brand-new, state of the art dealership in Perth, Ontario. Brand new equipment, air-conditioned shop and extensive, hands-on training provided. Reliable transportation during this period is required. A valid driver's license (minimum G2) and clean driver's abstract are required for this position.

Main duties include:

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Diagnose the source of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Communicate with Service Advisors when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the accepted timeframe.
• Perform road tests using safe driving standards.

Requirements:

• Ontario 310S trade certification is preferred.
• Focused on team effort and helping to maintain and uphold our high expectations of customer relations and automobile service through attention to detail, pride, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license (minimum G2) and a clean driver's abstract.
• Ability to work efficiently and safety in accordance with all Occupational Health & Safety Standards.
• Previous dealership experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
