RN - Heart & Vascular ICU Inpatient at Yale New Haven Health summary: A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Heart & Vascular ICU Inpatient unit provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing interventions. This role includes supervising non-RN personnel, acting as a charge nurse, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN also educates patients and families, functions as a preceptor for new staff, and demonstrates specialized skills in neuro and airway management. Works Under The Supervision Of The Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. The Registered Nurse (Rn) Assesses, Plans, Implements, Evaluates And Supervises Individual Patient Care On A Nursing Unit/Department According To Unit Policies And Procedures. Provides Supervision Of Non-Rn Personnel On The Assigned Unit. When Assuming The Charge Role, Delegates And Supervises Unit Activities. May Be Requires To Work On Other Nursing Units According To Distribution Of Staff And Patients.
