About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities and acute care environments, providing essential therapy services to individuals with disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs, promoting their independence and improving their quality of life.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
* Develop individualized care plans based on assessment results, focusing on enhancing patients' functional abilities.
* Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and strategies for daily living.
* Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Engage in early intervention strategies for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
* Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment approaches effectively.
*Experience*
Candidates should possess experience in the following areas:
* Skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings.
* Working with individuals with disabilities in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
* Developing care plans that address diverse patient needs.
* Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
* Knowledge of early intervention practices for pediatric populations is beneficial.
