Your place in our story
At Minto our Building Superintendents are responsible for the repairs, maintenance, and cleanliness of assigned residential building(s) and the provision of excellent customer service. Please note this is a live-in position.
Here's how you'll contribute
- Performs resident service requests in addition to routine repairs and maintenance for in-suite, interior and exterior common areas;
- Contribute to the longevity of building systems through preventative maintenance inspections of building mechanical systems and infrastructure
- Responsible for ensuring resident satisfaction through the timely completion of service requests
- Maintain and exceed our product standards through reviewing and action on common area deficiencies
- Develop excellent first impressions for our customers through ensuring units are rent-ready upon move-in.
- Liaise with Administrators, Property Managers and Contractors to ensure quality of work and customer satisfaction.
- Using our Smartphone App to document service requests and the resolution thereof
- Completes turnover suite inspections and completes repairs and maintenance of vacant suites;
- Available to residents for general inquiries about living in their suite, building and community;
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule to ensure the ongoing safety and security of our tenants and buildings
- Other duties as required
What you bring to the team
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- A valid driver's license and personal vehicle is required
- Ability to complete appliance repairs, routine plumbing repairs, repairs and maintenance requiring carpentry skills, painting, and basic electrical repairs
- Ability to operate smartphones and computer programs
- Knowledgeable of building codes and safety standards
- Ability to safely use and maintain tools of the job
- Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
- Shows Initiative and demonstrates a sense of ownership
