If so, we have an exciting job opportunity for you! We are currently seeking several Lead Project Managers to join Electromobility at Group Trucks Technology.

Electromobility is an important part in Volvo Group Trucks Technology, where the R&D resources for the three truck brands (Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, and Mack Trucks) are centralized.

The Electromobility Function:
Electromobility is changing the automotive world, and we are now looking for you who want to be part of making this change in our industry! The Electromobility organization is responsible for the development of our electric powertrains – from advanced engineering through product development into the maintenance phase. The function has a purpose-driven leadership and together we drive Electromobility transition based on cutting-edge engineering and state-of-the-art research.

The Role:
The Lead Project Managers plays a central role in the Electromobility organization. You will assume full responsibility for leading comprehensive projects. You will manage a cross functional project team and deliver according to project prerequisites. Stakeholder management and interfaces in the Volvo organization are important to handle. You will report to the steering committee and decision fora.

Who are You?
We seek an established project leader with a proven track record of driving projects in global organizations. We trust in your knowledge of large and complex development projects, as well as your ability to industrialize technology within the Automotive sector. You build a foundation for success and are skilled in navigating a matrix context. Additionally, you possess a high level of integrity and judgment.

Your mission in this role:
Your mission is to lead complex development Electromobility projects from pre-studies up to industrialization and launch of a successful product.

To be able to do this you need to:
• Demonstrate extensive experience and expertise in project management.
• Foster genuine team spirit within the matrix in which you operate.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of R&D technology to make accurate high-level judgments. Experience from Electromobility is an advantage.
• Be able to engage others and work cross functional.
• Assume a strong leadership role in a highly complex and uncertain environment.
• Work proactively to secure delivery.

What to bring:
• Expertise and proficiency in project management.
• Project leadership background ideally gained from a large global organization, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders on all levels.
• Possesses strong personal credibility, integrity, and creativity.
• Excellent collaboration skills across the entire value chain.
• Engineering background and education.
