We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team in either Bennington, Vt or Rutland Vt. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their dental health and comfort while performing various clinical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy on patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
* Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
* Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record management.
* Assist in chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during dental treatments.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.
* Manage medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
* Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
* Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in general dentistry practices.
*Qualifications*
* Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
* Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
* Proficiency in using dental software is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
* Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and maintaining accurate medical records.
* Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
