Do you have a proven track-record in life science sales? Do you have sales experience working in an account management and new business development remit? Are you looking for a new challenge and to join a great team of sales professionals looking to make a difference? Our client is a leading provider of laboratory equipment and consumables who sell their products into a wide range of customer across the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Industrial markets. Priding themselves on a top-class customer service and high quality industry leading products, they are now looking for a Key Account Manager to join the team and look after customers in the UK. Responsibilities will include- * Looking after existing customers, growing the accounts and nurturing business for the company * Seeking out new business opportunities * Meeting with customers across the UK to explore new ventures and ensure service levels are upkept * Accurate record keeping and data logging using company CRM * Provide business proposals, quotations, and pricing for products, as required. * Reporting sales figures to senior leadership team * Keep up to date with industry and product knowledge To be considered for this opportunity you should- * Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in scientific subject, ideally biology, microbiology, cellular biology, biomedical science or chemistry * Hold a Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West of the UK * Have 4+ years sales experience, within the scientific industry ideally selling laboratory equipment and consumables * Have experience of developing and completing sales strategies * Have the ability to communicate effectively * Possess technical knowledge of laboratory products, equipment and consumables * Be able to present to a variety of audience and influence decision makers * Be motivated, hardworking and ambitious * Be highly organised and able to manage workload Ideally have a background in chemistry or related scientific area * Have experience working with a CRM You will be rewarded with a friendly, inclusive working environment, competitive salary and company benefits such as bonus and company car as well as strong progression opportunities.
