We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. This person would fill a full-time or a part-time position working on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the understanding if the candidate prefers full-time--we can do this as well. The hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on proper oral hygiene, and performing routine cleanings and other dental procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. We prefer someone with a outgoing personality who believes in treating their patients as you would a friend or family, as that is how we treat them.
Responsibilities:
* Clean and polish teeth using various instruments.
* Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques.
* Perform oral health assessments and screenings.
* Take x-rays and CBCT of teeth and jaws.
* Apply preventive materials to teeth such as sealants and fluorides.
* Remove calculus, plaque, and stains from teeth.
* Perform root planing as necessary.
*Qualifications*
* Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care techniques
* Strong understanding of dental and medical terminology
* Experience with patient assessment and general dentistry practices
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record management
* Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction
* Ability to perform pediatric dentistry and vital sign assessments
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $42.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 34 per week
