Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, develop reports, build dashboards, and provide actionable insights that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases.
Perform statistical analysis and automate data processing workflows using Python and/or R.
Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, including Marketing, Finance, Sales, Operations, and Product teams, to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
Translate business requirements into meaningful data insights and recommendations.
Monitor data quality, perform validation checks, and ensure data integrity across multiple sources.
Document data definitions, business rules, analytical methodologies, and reporting processes.
Support ad hoc analysis and prepare presentations for management and executive stakeholders.
Assist in designing and improving data collection processes and reporting automation.
Stay current with emerging analytics tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
Working knowledge of Python and/or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
Familiarity with Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with statistical analysis, predictive analytics, or machine learning concepts.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
Relevant certifications in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft, Google, or cloud technologies are advantageous.
