The location in Montreal , (Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Accountant . This job is full-time permanent .
Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, your role will consist of recording and monitoring financial accounting transactions while supporting the corporate accounting function.
Your challenges:
- Prepare accounting entries
- Perform month-end closing processes, including:
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Month-end reporting
- Analyze various balance sheet accounts
- Support analysis of financing expenses as well as environmental and legal provisions
- Participate in meetings with other departments to discuss and follow up on issues identified through reconciliations and analyses
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual budget preparation
- Assist in year-end tax forms and financial reporting preparation
Your skills:
- Strong interest in learning and acquiring new skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive, with a collaborative team-oriented approach
Your profile:
- Bilingual French and English (Required for all Corporate Positions)*
- University degree in Accounting (completed or in progress)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Professional designation (CPA) is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of GAAP and SAP (FI/CO) is considered an asset
