Project Coordinator Grangegorman Development Agency has exclusively retained Steering Point to lead the search for a Project Coordinator.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
The Organisation: The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is a statutory agency established in 2006 under the Grangegorman Development Agency Act 2005, responsible for delivering one of Ireland's most significant urban regeneration programmes.
The GDA's mission is to transform Grangegorman into a vibrant community encompassing a world-class, integrated and inclusive education, health and community campus and urban quarter.
To support the continued delivery of this landmark regeneration programme, the GDA is recruiting a Project Coordinator.
The Role: The Project Coordinator will play a key role in managing and delivering high-quality design and construction projects across the Grangegorman campus, including buildings, site infrastructure and public realm developments.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will oversee projects from procurement through to construction, completion and handover.
Reporting within the project delivery team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards of design, governance and quality while supporting the wider strategic objectives of the Agency.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the procurement and delivery of allocated construction, infrastructure and public realm projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, contractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the Capital Works Management Framework, Public Spending Code and relevant procurement regulations.
Monitor programme, quality, budget and construction progress, ensuring effective governance and reporting throughout each project.
Review project costs, contractor payments, and commercial performance in collaboration with the Agency's finance and commercial teams.
Lead and participate in design reviews, project workshops, governance meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
Promote excellence in design, sustainability, health & safety, and project delivery across all assigned projects.
Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management, stakeholders, and end users.
Support broader Agency initiatives including strategic planning, programme management, sustainability and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements: Essential: A recognised third-level or professional qualification (minimum NFQ Level 8) in Architecture or a closely related construction design and management discipline with demonstrable architectural experience.
Minimum five years' relevant postgraduate experience.
Registered or associate member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) or equivalent professional body.
Proven experience delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders, funders and end users.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Construction Health & Safety Regulations.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of complex projects.
Desirable: Knowledge of public procurement best practice.
Experience working with GCCC Contracts, the Capital Works Management Framework and the Public Spending Code.
Experience of PPP or other non-traditional construction delivery models.
Knowledge of projects across higher education, healthcare, public realm, infrastructure, mixed-use developments or heritage projects.
Experience using Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Proficiency in SharePoint. xyswxtq
