Our client in the food industry is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to fill a permanent position on the day shift.
Brief description:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising all activities in his/her sector and ensuring that they are carried out under safe conditions and in accordance with the company's orientations. The supervisor will also be responsible for leading the team to achieve zero incidents, operational excellence and a high level of commitment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • You are responsible for supervising, directing and controlling a work team.
  • You ensure efficient production of the plant by respecting quality and quantity standards and by rationalizing the use of human and material resources
  • You must effectively meet the safety, quality and production requirements of the company's ongoing operations.
  • You will have to collaborate with the maintenance teams and other departments
  • Ensure that the team meets the established objectives;
  • Follow up on the operations plan ensuring compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental standards;
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards at each stage of production, be responsible for product quality and corrective measures in collaboration with the quality team in the event of a quality deviation;
  • Ensure that the team members in his/her sector are trained and qualified to perform the work according to the established instructions;
  • Follow up on the performance indicators of his sector as well as process audits while implementing the appropriate countermeasures;
  • Participate in departmental improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • College degree with 3 years of experience or high school diploma combined with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience;
  • Mastery of software in a Windows environment;
  • Autonomy and ability to make decisions quickly;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Rigor and dynamism;
  • Sense of urgency and organization.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
