Gustave A Larson Company is actively looking for our next Counter Sales Representative for our Counter Sales Team. We are the premier HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and Mountain States. We thrive on being customer service oriented, being nimble, balancing multiple responsibilities, and developing positive relationships with our teams to work together to get the job done.

  • Leading Your Team to Success As a Counter Sales Representative, you are enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and experienced in being apart of a team and being successful in a store front setting.
  • Customer Focused As a Counter Sales Representative you are ensuring that customers' needs are met daily by having the right product and making sure it is delivered/picked at the right time. At Gustave A Larson we are passionate about serving all our customers including dealers, business owners and large HVAC companies. We meet customers' needs by maintaining positive business relationships and delivering on the expectations we set.
  • HVAC Product Knowledge Understanding or a willingness to learn HVAC residential systems is a must, that experience is needed to assist in selling the right equipment and recommending the right systems for our customers' jobs.
  • Attention to Detail Our industry is technical in nature and details matter. It's not enough to do something "most of the time" we need leaders who are experts in understanding the small details of our business, our customers and our profitability.

You will spend time learning our warehouse operations, counter sales, bid quoting, and our go to market sales strategy.
Candidates Should Have
  • Must have either HVAC/R selling experience, or distribution counter sales knowledge of at least two years
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • A proven track record of inventory management and warehouse experience
  • Valid driver's license/driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Other skills/abilities include the ability to meet mobility requirements which include walking, standing, reaching, leaning forward, bending, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be skilled in verbal and written communication and have sufficient education to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have basic math skills and able to perform or learn the requirements of the job within the assigned learning period. Required to accept and follow all safety rules and policies, including the use of all mandated safety protective equipment. Individual must agree to take pre-employment drug test and background check and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
