The Opportunity
We are collaborating with multiple companies in Newaygo seeking experienced Engineering Managers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize operational efficiency.
- Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and safety protocols.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems.
- Proven project management skills with a track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for manufacturing operations.
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with automation and control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA).
