Job Description
National Retail Transportation is seeking skilled and reliable Local Drivers to join our team in Perth Amboy, NJ. This job will consist of local deliveries. Drivers must be comfortable with city driving. Drivers are home daily, and qualifying drivers can receive Safety Bonuses. Freight is a combination of pallet deliveries with some drop and hook.
Schedules:
1st position
  • Start time: 7am
  • Saturday to Wednesday
  • $27.00/hr.

2nd position
  • Start time: 6:30 PM
  • Thursday to Monday
  • $29.00/hr.

Important information
  • NYC delivery qualified drivers needed (delivering into Brooklyn, NY 2x per day)
  • 50% live unloads at dock level, 50% street unloads with lift gate trailers
  • Weekend coverage required
  • Potential flexibility on days of week, with weekends included

Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Minimum of 1 year Class A driving experience (or equivalent military driving experience) within the last 3 years
  • Must maintain a safety-focused driving history; clean MVR/PSP and employment history preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical qualifications
  • Current DOT physical certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
